Trichogramma are tiny parasitoids known for their ability to parasitize eggs of various pest insects, particularly moth and butterfly eggs. No larger than the tip of a pencil and measuring only about 0.5-1.5mm in length, they are hard to see without magnification. In agricultural settings, researchers and farmers often use pheromone traps to monitor their presence. Although Trichogramma can vary in color, they are generally yellow or light brown, with a slender elongated body, long thread-like antennae, and delicate iridescent wings. The entire life cycle is relatively short with rapid reproduction and development cycles. Adult females can lay dozens to hundreds of eggs inside hosts, hatching into larvae in about 1-5 days. The larvae will feed on the host as it progresses through development for approximately 5-7 days. When the larvae is fully developed it will pupate inside the host for about another 5-7 days and finally emerge as adults, ready to continue the cycle.

TRICHOGRAMMA SPECIES:

  • T. platneri / T. minutum - Works best on tall plants over 6 feet tall.
  • T. brassicae - Works best for cold crops or winter crops.

Green Lacewings, also known as the Aphid Exterminator, are essential defenders against a wide range of garden pests. These delicate insects, measuring about ½ - ¾ inches, lay tiny eggs near pest populations, which hatch into larvae within days. The larvae, resembling alligators, actively hunt and feed on soft-bodied pests for 2-4 weeks before pupating and emerging as adults. Each female can lay up to 200 eggs, ensuring a continuous cycle of pest control. To optimize their effectiveness, consider the specific pests, level of infestation, life cycle timing, and environmental conditions of your garden when choosing between larvae, eggs, or adults for introduction.

Hippodamia convergens are native ladybugs found throughout the USA! NaturesGoodGuys (a.k.a. Soldier Bugs) pre-fed Ladybugs are the best general soldiers in any organic garden, greenhouse, grow room, patio, rooftop garden, interiorscape, or anywhere pests exist.

            HARVEST DELAYS

We do our best to keep all products in stock, but nature doesn’t always follow our schedule! Because we work with the natural reproductive cycles of living organisms, occasional delays may occur.

            SEASONAL & WEATHER DELAYS
Extreme weather and seasonal conditions can impact shipping times and the viability of live insects. To ensure the best possible arrival, we may delay shipments during severe heat waves, cold spells, or other extreme conditions. If your order is affected, we will hold it temporarily and ship when conditions improve. You will be notified via email or phone if there is a significant delay.

            CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS
Due to our high order volume, any changes or cancellations must be requested within 30 minutes of placing your order. If your order has already entered production, we will do our best to accommodate your request, but we cannot guarantee modifications or cancellations at that stage.
